Galleries created within the app will now automatically use the settings from your "Default Preset". (You can log in to SmugMug on a computer and set your default preset settings in "Account Settings".)
The app will now auto upload photos stored in the device "pictures" directory.
Finally, if your phone supports High-Efficiency format images then those photos can now be uploaded directly to your SmugMug account.
With this update, we’re saving you time by helping you find your photos faster. Now, you can go all out sorting photos in your galleries right from the app. Plus, we’ll let you know when you need to free up space on your device (to copy temporary photo files) so your photos auto-upload without worries. We’ve also fixed some bugs to make uploading, organizing, and viewing your photos smoother.
Beyond some background updates, we packed this update with features to allow you to manage your SmugMug account from wherever you may be shooting in the world. Now you can update profile, cover, and feature photos with a few taps. We also made it easier for you to control download and password settings on your galleries for easy sharing.

AS SEEN ON SMUGMUG: Set it and forget it! Did you know you could automatically backup your devices photos and videos straight to SmugMug? Just pop over to your app settings, and we’ll make sure your photos and videos are safe by automatically uploading them to a gallery. Plus we’ve refined the settings that determine when it happens to give you more control.
We putting a little muscle behind our last app update. Now you can move folders and galleries in BULK right from the app to stay organized. Let the SmugMug mobile app do all the heavy lifting for you.

We believe protecting your privacy should be simple and straightforward, so we did exactly that with our privacy settings - made them simple and straightforward.
- Improved settings allow you to choose who can and cannot see your photos. Change folder and gallery settings to Public, Unlisted, or Private.
- You can also require a password for visitors to see your photos or choose only specific people to grant access to.
• Your search woes are over, at least on SmugMug. Now you can search for photos, videos, galleries, and folders right from the comfort of your Android device.
• This update also includes full optimization for Android 8.0 (Oreo). Tasty!

Computers!? You don’t need no stinkin’ computers to sign up for a SmugMug account. Now you can begin your awesome SmugMug journey to safe, beautiful, and unlimited photo storage, right inside our SmugMug app. With this update, visitors can now start new SmugMug trials, and subscribe for accounts without ever leaving the app. Enjoy!
With this update we added some functionality to your fab Folders. In addition to editing Gallery settings, you can now edit a Folder's Title, Description, Keywords, Visibility (Public, Unlisted, Private) or Access (Anyone, People with a Password, or People I Choose). To edit a Folder's settings, choose "Edit Folder Settings" from the overflow menu (... the 3 dots button).
Summer’s here, so we switched on our mighty bug-zapper and started zapping.1. The app now honors “Download Buttons” settings for every gallery. When this setting is turned ON, visitors will have access to the “Save to Device” button.2. Folders and Galleries marked for viewing Offline would not download new items if the device was plugged into a power supply. That wasn’t very smuggy so now they’ll save for offline viewing when you’re plugged in.3. We fixed an issue with saving to SD cards.
• No more sleeping on the job. Some Android 7 (Nougat) devices would fail to complete uploads when they went into sleep mode during the process. Now they continue uploading even if the device is idle and the screen sleeps.• Playtime is just getting started. Now videos play properly for our Android 7 (Nougat) customers who were having trouble.• Feeling a little déjà vu? We fixed a bug that was causing a few of our customers to log in every time they launched the app.
